The Research Forum on the Arab and Muslim World (FIMAM, by its acronym in Spanish) is organizing its 21<\/b>st <\/b>meeting on October 25<\/b>th<\/b>-26<\/b>th<\/b>, 2018.\"\" <\/b><\/h2>\n

The event will take place in Casa \u00c1rabe and IESA-CSIC, in C\u00f3rdoba (Spain).<\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

As in previous editions, this event is conceived as an informal meeting<\/strong> among researchers in Spain, open to researchers from other countries as well. The researchers can present projects in their initial stage, ongoing researches or finalized studies. A table will be held for PhD Thesis<\/strong> in their initial stage in order to allow the researchers to receive opinions and advice from senior academics.<\/p>\n

\u00a0The tables will be held mainly in Spanish, with no available interpretation, but interventions in other languages may be considered.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The deadline for the reception of proposals<\/strong><\/span> (of no more than 300 words) will be Tuesday, 31<\/b>st <\/b>July 2018<\/b><\/span>.<\/p>\n

The proposal must include the following information:<\/p>\n

\u25cf Name of the author<\/p>\n

\u25cf Title of the communication<\/p>\n

\u25cf Abstract (max. 300 words)<\/p>\n

\u25cf Keywords (max. 5 words)<\/p>\n

\u25cf Stage of the research: initial, ongoing or finalized.<\/p>\n

\u25cf Discipline of the communication<\/p>\n

Interventions: <\/b>Every speaker on the table will have 15-20 minutes to present their project. The tables will include time for Q&A and further debates.<\/p>\n

Accommodation and catering: <\/b>A list of recommended accommodation facilities and restaurants in C\u00f3rdoba will be distributed once the CfP is completed.<\/p>\n

A joint dinner will be organized on the first night of the meeting. More details to follow. The people interested in attending the dinner will need to send a confirmation email to the Board.<\/p>\n

Presentation and books sales: <\/b>The FIMAM meeting is a good opportunity to publicize the participants\u2019 publications. A table will be available to those interested in showing or selling their books.<\/p>\n
